Sheriff Department Crime Update

The following information about local crimes was gathered from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department, Lost Hills/Malibu Station.
Two windshields were smashed on Luse Tank Road in Topanga on 7/19 by large rocks. A Volvo and a 1965 Ford Galaxy were damaged. No witnesses were available.
7/20. Petty Theft in Agoura Hills. The owner said he mailed a digital to DarnToothySam.com for repairs, but they kept the camera and have not responded to numerous emails or phone calls. The sheriff’s department tried to call as well, but were unable to reach a person. The camera owner suspects he may be the victim of an internet scam.
7/20. A 55 gallon drum of used vegetable oil was drained from 23508 Calabasas Road. The owner saves used cooking oil from his business to power his car. Security video footage showed a white Ford truck with storage containers and a black hose back into the oil storage area and leave about 15 minutes later. Police say it was difficult to see the driver, but appeared to be a male with light gray hair.
7/21. 29110 Meda Lane, Agoura. Someone made 40″ scratches on the front and rear passenger side of a black Lexus SUV. No witnesses or suspects could be found.
7/20. 31804 Saddletree Road, Westlake Village. the victim told police that someone smashed the passenger front window and stole a purse, with multiple credit cards and identification in it.
7/19. 6819 Wildlife Road, Malibu. A car mirror was broken with the the words “My (vagina) will have you both” scrawled on the roof. An informant believes that multiple vehicles may have been damaged by a resident at 6810 Wildlife Road, which houses mental patients. The cars owner had a previous verbal confrontation with a patient of the facility.
7/21. Attempted burglary at 32107 Lindero Canyon Blvd., Suite 106 in Westlake Village. An unknown person damaged the front door of the building in an apparent attempt to gain entry, sometime between 7pm and 8am. There were no signs that the suspects gained entry.
7/17. An iPod and DVD’s were reported stolen from a parked car on Lake Crest in Agoura.
7/16. A bottle of prescription pain medication was stolen from a home on Simpson Pl. in Calabasas. The victim stated that an employee of Charter Communications had checked her cable box in the bedroom where the medicine had been. After the repair man had left, she notice the missing bottle. She called the Charter employee and said that he told her he had seen the medication, but denied taking it.
7/14. A cell phone was reported stolen from a home on Country Creek Lane in Calabasas, while a moving company had access to the house.
7/5. A home was burglarized on Prado De Amor in Calabasas. Thieves stole an computer, WII, cash and more after forcing entry into the locked home while the owners were aware.
7/14. A home on Cairnloch Street in Calabasas was ransacked and robbed sometime in the evening between 7pm and 1am. The thieves got away with at least two Apple computers
